Mr & Mrs Rider | Aerie Ballroom Wedding

Lindsay and Lars’ wedding day is definitely one for the books! The love from their families, wedding party, and guests was so overflowing for the two of them. Their ceremony was timeless, preformed by a mentor/pastor/soccer coach of Lindsay’s. Lars decided the night before their big day that he didn’t want to see Lindsay until she walked down the aisle. His reaction to her was incredibly sincere and showed such overwhelming love for her (as you can clearly see in the images to come!). Their day was filled with a lot of happy tears, especially as you’ll see from Lindsay and her dad’s first look. Lindsay and Lars’ love for Jesus was evident in their ceremony and their love for one another was evident in the vows they gave one another. This day was so full of excitement and celebration of a closing of 3 years of long distance, graduations and degrees, and new jobs for the two of them.

The two met at Wenatchee Valley college where Lindsay was in her final year of running start and Lars in his second year. Lindsay had signed up for an Anatomical Kinesiology class as a prerequisite to physical therapy schooling and Lars signed up for the same class because he was interested in body mechanics and sports science. But let’s be honest, it was mainly because his friends were in the class. (Spoiler alert: little did he know his future wife would be in that class also!!) They mutually noticed one another, but Lindsay, being slightly apprehensive about Lars’ tight v-neck muscle shirts along with his popularity that came with being on the baseball team told her friend zone. However, this apprehensiveness actually turned into a long journey of becoming close friends over the next 10 months. They started with walking one another to class, watching Vampire Diaries and eating crepes, meeting one another’s families, Lars attending Lindsay’s high school prom and graduation, eating lots of Taco Bell in Lars’ gold Honda Civic well into the night, learning about each other’s relationships with the Lord and also attending church together. Four years ago, on August 13th, 2014, they went on to enjoy a summer together before Lars left to begin his schooling and baseball career at Central Washington University and later to work in Kalama while Lindsay stayed in Wenatchee to purse her nursing degree. This led to their 3-year long distance relationship, and while challenging, they both knew that what they had was worth it. Lars proposed on June 15th, 2018 on top of one of their favorite hiking spots with all their immediate family to witness. This was just a day before Lindsay graduated with her RN degree. Lindsay then went on to plan a wedding while getting her BSN degree, and she graduated with just a week before their wedding!

SO many huge life milestones for these two, and I love that they got to do them all while being side by side. I’m so looking forward to hearing about all the amazing things they’ll be doing and the many gorgeous babies that will come along also (Lars’ sister and mom said it first, I promise!!)

Thank you two for trusting me with your wedding day, for being so incredibly chill when it rained through the sunset portion of pictures (crying face emoji on my end!), and for truly enjoying the day that was all about you two.

I love best mens and maid of honors!! They are seriously some of the most helpful people on the wedding day!

Lindsay and her maid of honor, Paige, have known each other since they were kids and did their super secret hand shake and it was the cutest.

Get ready for the father/daughter first look!! Lindsay could barely get through the door and it for reals had me in tears too!

This was such a sweet moment. Lindsay couldn’t hold back the tears and her dad knew she needed a moment.
The love this man had for his daughter was so evident throughout the entire day!

Give me all the sibling pictures!!

Engagement photos by Lauren Joslen! Thanks for this referral girl!!

Lindsay’s little brother had everyone cracking up one minute and balling the next.
Note for future brides: if you have a little brother please have them give a speech because I bet you it will be the sweetest thing you’ll ever hear from them!

Congratulations Lindsay & Lars! So happy to have been your wedding photographer, you and your tribe were such a blast!
